Punjab Privatization Board

Punjab Privatization Board (PPB) is a Government entity dealing in Property privatization for the Government of the Punjab. PPB was formed under The Punjab Privatization Board Bill 2010 having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on Feb. 18th 2010, and assented to by the Governor of the Punjab on Feb 23rd 2010 and published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab through an extra ordinary gazette.

Punjab Public Service Commission

Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) is the oldest Public Service Commission in the country and was established in April 1937 under the Government of India Act, 1935. The act was adapted in 1947 after independence. Its functions were defined explicitly in the1956 and 1962 constitutions as well. On creation of one unit the Commission was renamed as the West Pakistan Public Service Commission until 1st July 1970 and on dismemberment of one unit it was again named as Punjab Public Service Commission.

Punjab Highways & Patrol Police

The initiatives were taken on the establishment of Patrolling Posts on the highways throughout the province on 8th January 2003. The object was to provide security to the people traveling on the highways and to improve thana (police station) culture. 450 Patrolling Posts would be established in two phases.In District Attock 07 Patrolling Posts i.e. Kotkay, Hattar, Akhori, Shadi Khan, Dhurnal, Mathial and Khushal Garh become operational and others will soon be commissioned. More than 223 constables have been recruited and trained. It is added that Rawalpindi-Kohat road has been selected as a Traffic management Road for PHP of this District and 03 PHP Posts i.e. Hattar, Mathial and Khushalgarh have been empowered with the authority of Challan to reduce the ratio of Traffic violations and accidents.

Punjab Educational Management Information System

The EMIS provides for the establishment of computer-based information system facilities at provincial EMIS headquarter and in each of the 35-District EMIS Cells in the Punjab. To conduct annual school census and disseminate statistical reports to all users at district, divisional, provincial and federal level. It develops software and generate need based comprehensive database for various sub- sectors of the Education Department.
